Más allá de las páginas es una publicación que recopila la investigación de mi Trabajo de Fin de Grado, en la que se explora cómo la fusión de narrativas y formatos, a través de la experimentación material y conceptual, puede transformar de manera profunda nuestra percepción del libro, invitándonos a mirarlo desde una nueva perspectiva.
Para materializar la investigación y continuar la experimentación con formatos de libros, la memoria fue impresa en pañuelos desechables. Este objeto, más allá de su función habitual, se transformó en un soporte creativo, un lienzo en blanco para la exploración.

Beyond the Pages is a publication that compiles the research from my Final Degree Project, exploring how the fusion of narratives and formats, through material and conceptual experimentation, can profoundly transform our perception of the book, inviting us to see it from a new perspective.
To materialize the research and continue experimenting with book formats, the thesis was printed on tissues. This object, beyond its usual function, became a creative medium, a blank canvas for exploration.
ENTRE PIEDRAS Y PÍXELES
EVOLUCIONES MATERIALIZADAS︎︎︎ Publicación en piedra e interactiva con IA
Hace unos meses, mientras trabajaba en mi proyecto de fin de grado, comprendí que carecía de un conocimiento profundo sobre la historia del libro como objeto. Reflexioné sobre su evolución, desde las pinturas rupestres hasta los ebooks, y cómo estos cambios han afectado nuestra forma de percibir la literatura.
A partir de esta reflexión, surgió Entre piedras y píxeles, una obra que fusiona lo antiguo y lo moderno, combinando el concepto tradicional del libro con la tecnología contemporánea. Este “Kindle de piedra” simboliza la evolución del libro, integrando su historia en un solo objeto innovador, siendo así contada por el mismo.

A few months ago, while working on my final degree project, I realized that I lacked a deep understanding of the history of the book as an object. I reflected on its evolution, from cave paintings to ebooks, and how these changes have influenced the way we perceive literature.
From this reflection, Entre piedras y píxeles (Between Stones and Pixels) emerged, a work that blends the old and the new, combining the traditional concept of the book with contemporary technology. This "stone Kindle" symbolizes the evolution of the book, integrating its history into a single innovative object, thus being told by the object itself.

La animación se concibió como una posible colaboración con la empresa de joyería SAN SARU, con la finalidad de utilizarla en sus redes sociales o como encabezado en su página web.
El mayor desafío en la creación de la animación fue recrear con precisión las joyas de la empresa. Esta meticulosa recreación, tenía como objetivo generar una conexión profunda en la marca, para que, de este modo, la animación reflejara fielmente la esencia de la compañía. En este caso, la influencia en la cultura india, y por excelencia, sus diseños geométricos complejos

The animation was conceived as a potential collaboration with the jewelry company SAN SARU, with the purpose of using it on their social networks or as a header on their website.
The biggest challenge in creating the animation was accurately recreating the company's jewelry. This meticulous recreation aimed to establish a deep connection with the brand so that the animation faithfully reflected the essence of the company. In this case, the influence of Indian culture, and par excellence, its complex geometric designs.

¿Alguna vez te has puesto a observar el lugar en donde más inseguro eres? Hay miles de lavabos en el mundo, pero ninguno es igual. Muchas veces, estamos tan concentrados en no tocar la tapa del váter, que no contemplamos el curiosear el paraje en donde nos encontramos.
Basándome en mis vivencias, podría decir que aparte de mi casa, los aseos de mi universidad es en donde más cómoda estoy, todo y que es un sitio en que la gente prefiere expresar su arte en vez de cagar. Por este motivo me cuestioné, como podría diseñar un objeto, en donde se presentara una recopilación de todas estas obras que te acompañan mientras plantas un pino.
De esta forma fue como casi rompo la impresora de mi casa, imprimiendo encima de rollos de papel de váter. Todo un trabajo fotográfico y de edición, para que finalmente se terminaran limpiando el culo con él.

Have you ever started to observe the place where you are most insecure? There are thousands of sinks in the world, but none are the same. Many times, we are so focused on not touching the toilet seat, that we do not contemplate browsing the place where we are.
Based on my experiences, I could say that apart from my house, the toilets at my university are where I am most comfortable, everything and that it is a place where people prefer to express their art instead of shitting. For this reason I questioned myself, how could I design an object, where a compilation of all these works that accompany you while you plant a pine tree is presented.
This is how I almost broke my home printer, printing on top of toilet paper rolls. A whole photographic and editing job, so that they finally ended up wiping their asses with it.

¿Alguna vez te has cuestionado que fue antes, si el huevo o la gallina?. Pues esto es lo mismo, salvo que en vez de gallina y huevo, hay un libro gigante sin sentido.
"¿Qué fue antes, el libro o las fotos del libro?", es un manual para sacarte del apuro por si te encuentras en la situación de tener un libro gigante y no saber qué hacer con él.

Have you ever wondered what came before, the chicken or the egg? Well, this is the same, except that instead of chicken and egg, there is a giant book without meaning.
"What came before, the book or the photos of the book?", is a manual to get you out of trouble if you find yourself in the situation of having a giant book and not knowing what to do with it.

︎︎︎ Branding de una empresa de vino
El fuego transforma, convierte la vida en muerte y deja una estela de su paso. Quemar el papel es corromper su forma original y que surja una nueva, una que tiene la herencia del fuego y sus marcas. Traducimos este concepto en una etiqueta de vino volcánico de Lanzarote. La tierra que era fértil está cubierta por fuego y lava, pero de las cenizas surgen nuevas propiedades, un terreno que con el paso de los años es aún más fructífero.
Lo Quemao es una marca de vinos con un tono ácido y juvenil. A través de una apariencia elegante y divertidos copys consigue llegar a un público joven, de aproximadamente 30 años. Es un vino para ocasiones especiales, tratado con cuidado y unos acabados especiales que recuerdan al fuego y la tierra volcánica. Tres palabras que lo definen son: intenso, atrevido y elegante.l.

Fire transforms, turns life into death and leaves a trail of its passage. To burn the paper is to corrupt its original form and a new one arises, one that has the inheritance of fire and its marks. We translate this concept into a volcanic wine label from Lanzarote. The land that was fertile is covered by fire and lava, but from the ashes new properties arise, a land that with the passing of the years is even more fruitful.
Lo Quemao is a wine brand with an acid and youthful tone. Through an elegant appearance and fun copy, he manages to reach a young audience, approximately 30 years old. It is a wine for special occasions, treated with care and special finishes that are reminiscent of fire and volcanic earth. Three words that identify it: intense, daring and elegant.
